We are a brand new, unofficial club at the moment, looking for players to start a pickup game or just other Goatheads to practice with.
The objective of Goatheads Football (soccer) Club, is to organize the football community, and to build competitive youth development teams, affording players with an official path to FIFA.
If you have skills to pass on, are a back yard juggler, never kicked a football, or are the next World Cup talent looking to develop, you are welcome. I try and practice most evenings after it cools off, behind Beaver Valley Elementary School in Brush. The soccer goals have nets, and are ready to go. Thank you City of Brush! We are a grass roots club that hopefully will spread like weeds. Youth soccer practice has started, so field availability from 5 PM on, may be limited. There is some empty space on the north end of the fields to kick the ball around. Updated 8/13/2026
This is a photograph of Lakewood United FC, the competitive team I played with from Lakewood, Colorado, playing in Germany, on a 5 country tour in the 70's. We combined U15 and U16 Lakewood United teams into one. Before soccer, I played flag football and little league baseball, then Pele' came to town with the New York Cosmos, and rocked my world. I was not really good at either of the former sports, but I could kick a soccer ball! If this stuff is in your blood, and your very soul, this is the club for you. Fair warning. These big clubs we will compete with have tryouts, while we are attempting to field a team, which makes us the underdogs.
We are wearing our alternate color white uniforms in this photograph, and the players in blue would be the U14 Scottish National Champions absolutely smoking us 18, nil.
