Brush Recreational Youth Soccer Schedule. 8/14/2026
Games will be on 8/15, 8/22, 8/29, and 9/5 (an additional game will be played during the week - TBA). Some dates may need to be adjusted as needed.
The above information is per the Brush City website, and my understanding is the games start at. 8:30 AM. I will be there cheering on the players and scouting talent for future Goatheads U14 through U19 teams. Come give them some fans to motivate them. They are the stars!
Matches are held at the soccer fields behind Beaver Valley Elementary School. A map of the location is posted on the home page.

I am humbled. I underestimated the soccer community. Impressive! There are many talented players out here among the weeds and thorns. Speaking of future Goatheads: For players so far, one "dead ringer" for sure, with a pack nipping at the heels. One who showed great tactical decision making, and taking up solid, strategic positions. Very smart play and good decision making. Team captain material. Outstanding performances from many of the female players, and some real potential there. FYI, if you follow international sports, American females dominate the podium. Not like I am trying to motivate them, or anything. Not bad for a season opener, with everyone getting their feet wet.

When I played soccer as a teen, we played on "which way is it going to bounce, and will it roll or not" football pitches when attempted passing the ball to each other, while spraining our ankles in potholes ridden with these little buggers. Our coach's solution was to put "stop leak sealant" into the footballs to keep them from going flat. Sometimes it took more than the recommended amount to stop the numerous punctures, and you literally could see stars from heading some of them. We called these "brainer balls" and started marking them with markers. This is part of the inspiration of the football club's namesake. The second part is from the children's story "The Lions Paw." I am getting older, the World Cup comes every 4 years, it is not unheard of for U19 players to compete, and our players are not getting any younger. Grassroots takes years, I need some thorns.
